This month we are bringing back a classic workshop revamped! In this workshop, Black Women will learn how to identify trauma and what it does to the body and brain and move through a process to help trauma/trigger energy discharge from the body. We will end the workshop with a guided meditation. Workshop recordings will be available the following week for those unable to make it live.
Our monthly community care workshops are monthly mental health workshops focused on making topics in mental health accessible and relevant to Black Women (anyone is welcome to attend or participate).
In this Community Education workshop, we will learn practical tools for identifying, processing, and ๐ซ feeling ๐ซ our emotions.
This workshop is for you if:
๐ You can pinpoint exactly what youโre feeling and why but donโt exactly know what to do with that information.
๐ You feel things but donโt have the language to identify or communicate how youโre feeling with others.
๐ You get stuck in these patterns of feeling the same emotions repeatedly.
๐ You want a better process to feel, connect, and relate to your inner world.
Burnt ๐ฅ Crispy Crunchy ๐ฅ Hot Dumpster Fire ๐ฅ Tiyad ๐ฅ Over it ๐ฅ Done ๐ฅ these are all ways Iโve heard my clients and friends describe being burnt out. Burnout is a state of physical and emotional exhaustion caused by stress and overwork. It can result from having too much to do or too little control over the tasks youโre expected to complete. In this Community Mental Health Workshop, we talk about burnout, how it happens, some of its signs and symptoms, and what radical recovery can look like.
If you are in crisis or need urgent support, please call 9-1-1 or go to your nearest emergency department for mental health support.
